The Sustainability Intern will collaborate with PURIS’s existing business teams teams to support projects that documentation reporting and compliance, analyze impact, of our agricultural and manufacturing systems. You’ll help collect data, analyze impact, and explore new ways to advance regenerative and circular practices across our supply chain—from farmer partnerships to finished goods.

Pay Rate/Range: $20.00

Pay Frequency: Biweekly

Work Location: MSP – Fully In Person

Time Period: Summer 2026

Travel: 10%

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing the 2025 PURIS Impact Report by compiling and organizing sustainability metrics.
  • Collect and analyze environmental data related to energy, water, and waste usage across PURIS facilities.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to support life-cycle assessment (LCA) projects and corporate greenhouse gas inventory development.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop impact-focused collateral and customer-facing materials that highlight PURIS’s environmental achievements.
  • Research emerging sustainability standards, certifications, and industry best practices to inform PURIS’s ongoing strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, and Procurement to gather accurate and timely data.
  • Participate in additional sustainability or continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Present final project findings and recommendations to PURIS leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communication or Marketing, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Agricultural Studies, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and research skills; proficiency with Excel or data visualization tools preferred.
  • Interest in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and circular manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and communicate findings clearly.
  • Some experience in creative design programs like Adobe Suite
  • Interdepartmental collaboration; strong communication skills
