Financial Analyst, Senior

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for financial modeling, variance analysis and ad hoc projects within the PURIS enterprise. This includes owning the planning process for all businesses, creating and maintain cross-functional financial models and reporting, investigating cost variances monthly and managing the Capital Expenditure process.
This role will have significant exposure to the enterprise leadership team (CEO, CFO, COO, CSO). Must be comfortable directly interacting with senior leaders.

Pay Rate/Range: $68,019 - $85,024

*The salary for this role will be based on qualifications, experience, market data, and internal equity. Actual pay may vary due to factors such as location, skills, education, and performance. Pay is determined transparently, using market benchmarks and ensuring internal equity.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Own planning processes for all business. Provide weekly updates, monthly refresh and quarterly deep dives.
- Manage Capital Expenditure requests from initial request to ELT approval and track return and spend after approval.
- Create monthly variance analyses and standard reporting for all departments.
- Create ad-hoc financial models in support of Corporate Development, Operations and other cross-functional teams.
- Act as a project leader for projects as assigned by ELT.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
- Takeover planning process and ensure accuracy within 10% for sales, COGS and SG&A.
- Create and provide standard internal reporting and variance analysis for all departments and products.
- Initiate and lead at least 3 Capital projects through new process.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's Degree (MBA, MS in Finance, or equivalent), preferred.
- Professional certifications like CFA, CPA, or CMA, preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
- Previous experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Skills and Capabilities:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
- Experience with financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Position will primarily be located at the Corporate Office in Minneapolis, MN. There is also an expectation of periodic travel to the specific manufacturing sites in outer Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
